I'm making a topic of this game for comments. The game is about to start soon which is quite exciting. I have to say the champion salute was a bit over the top, but it did get me more pumped up for the game.

31-24 Ravens win IMO. Ravens got Webb back to put up with Demaryius Thomas, Corey Graham to keep up with Welker, and Jimmy Smith for Decker. Broncos don't have there pass rushers and very little secondary. Ravens are gonna have a field day on offense. It's gonna be stopping Manning that's tough imo. |

Broncos got this. I'm interested in the Broncos' RB situation and the performances of Wes Welker and Julius Thomas. I'm also interested to see how Torrey Smith and to a lesser extent Jacoby Jones perform. It has been irritating waiting for this game due to the stupid delays. A little bit of rain and wind, really? The forecast had the storm completely missing Denver. |

The ravens seemed to be flowing well. The Broncos look a little slow from the get go, but with Peyton Manning as quarterback anything is possible. I just think the Ravens are looking strong though. Even though they have lost a lot of players from the superbowl game, they seem okay. |

Another stop for the Ravens. I told people are defense would be better without Lewis and Reed, but everybody gets caught up In what they used to do, not what they did now. |

This was one of the reasons I picked them to win too. I also thought about how the last couple of superbowl teams have done at the beginning of the season after winning a superbowl. The defending superbowl champions usually come out firing after winning because the quarterback is booming with confidence as well as the rest of the team. I wasn't buying the whole "10 people off the team" business. The Ravens still have a great running game too. edit: I have to say the ravens' special team just failed terribly.

Yup, I just picked up Thomas, dropped Jordan Cameron. Keeping him and Jared Cook. Good game so far, great actually. Ravens are looking sharp. Keeping the pressure on Manning all game long. Just gotta find a way to stop Thomas. Edit - Goddammit Haurbaugh, you challenge that play on Welker, it's our ball. Gotta trust your players sometimes. edit - Wel this is looking like a blowout. I think that missed call and no challenge just took out the momentum the ravens had. |

Peyton TORE DAT A$$ UP! Heres my two cents on the game. The Broncos WR corpes looks scary, and with Payton just gunning it like that, whew! The Raven new D look either too old or too young its about 50/50 to many impact players on that side of the field gone or retired. Yea Suggs and Dumervil can hold down the ends, but with good planning those two threats can be easily eliminated like the Broncos showed, Ngata was invisible, didn't even create pass rush most of the time. On the Offensive side, Flacco look overwhelmed way to early in the game when they could have made a comeback, it took him way to long to get his head out of his a$$, and his WR's didn't do him any favors either, drops left and right, and it showed their lack of depth at the receiving position after T. Smith who do they have? A rookie and what seems to be is a banged up J. Jones, who might miss some games, depends on the injury. At least Pitta is coming back soon? :/ Neutral player: Jimmy Smith, Bal. He showed he could hang with tall shifty receivers and did a great job with Thomas, but after watching some plays he was getting burned a few times by the smaller quick receivers. Still a stud tho Overall the Ravens showed major flaws defensively, other than Webb and Smith their secondory looks iffy and thats an understatement, also very poor tackling, lack receiving depth, even with Pitta coming back. Unless they make some changes and fast I just can't see them winning the AFC North, just look at the Bengals they look STACKED! Just a lackluster performance by the Ravens. |

We got thoroughly embarrassed out there by Peyton Manning. I want you all to disregard the 2nd half of the game for a bit. Half time, Ravens are up 17-14. Defense is looking pretty good in the first half. Flacco has command of the offense. Those special teams mistakes and the no challenge call really messed with us. I don't think the Ravens defense is as bad as the score indicated, more that Manning just played the game of his career of the young age of 37 lol. However, now that I'm done defending my team, I have to say that this Denver Broncos team looks scary. They were good in coverage and even better against the run. They had trouble generating pressure, but five more games and then the best OLB in the business. Von Miller (Yup Aldon, Klay, Demarcus Ware, he's better) returns. This team looks scary good. I just don't see any team beating them. AT ALL. Certainly nobody in the AFC, and even the 49ers and Seahawks will have no success controlling Julius Thomas (who is basically a black Jimmy Graham), Wes Welker, Eric Decker, and Demaryius Thomas. If Montee Ball's pass protection picks up, well, look out. This team is going to be good. |

No, the Broncos scored 2 TD's and you guy still had the lead, your secondary was complete sh**t disregard Webb and Smith. And your lack of pressure is gonna hurt you guys really bad, not OLB pressure but inside pressure, Ngata was Mr. Invisible, sure suggs and dumervil each got a sack but that was about it, most of the time Peyton could have ordered a pizza and pick apart your secondary like it was preseason. No rush, Poor secondary, and lost your huge motivation/advice guy in Ray Lewis which showed, to many of the raven defenders were acting like middle school girls hating on each other, in all honesty the Ravens D is a shell to what it used to be. Lol, all it took was one bad call, and a TD by the Broncos to completely derail Flacco and make him look like a tall Alex Smith. Clark is trash, and T. Smith is just a one trick pony as a deep threat, even collinsworth pointed out how soft he was, if you bump him before he reaches full deep threat speed he won't have enough time to regain the speed and be a weapon. And other than him, who do you have at WR? Trading away Boldin to the Niners is showing to be a HUGE mistake, Flacco sure could have used him tonight huh? lol xD. LOL Is he a top OLB? Yes top 5, but the best? Naw son! I'd have to say Aldon>JPP>Ware>Clay>Von: Aldon, JPP, and Ware are the best OLB pass rushers in the league they have all the tools, size, speed, and different ways to get to the QB, outside moves and inside moves, Von Miller and Clay rely way to much on their speed, and get Handled way to easy, Anthony Davis the RT from SF completely OWNED Clay Matthews a year ago. All Von Miller has is a speed rush and a killer spin move, that's it, the three guys I mentioned have a wider verity of moves. Also it doesn't help that V. Miller plays AFC WEST teams twice a year xD!!!!!
Your getting way to ahead of your self, Julias Thomas is good but not as fast as Jimmy and, and Julius sometimes shows alligator arms, which can be fixed, but to have my complete opinion on him, I'd have to see him play against a good secondary not that trash heep that I saw tonight. Second of all Peyton made all those guys look amazing due to to all the time he had in the pocket, yet again a direct result from the poor pass rush that the Ravens have shown. Would love to see him play against JPP and Tuck, or Aldon and Justin Smith. |
